The history of Hotel Stabia measures almost a century. It was established in 1876 by restoring the ancient residence of the Gaeta family, wisely remodelled in Art Nouveau style in conformity with the canons of neoclassical elegance. A story that recounts the exploits of the poet D'Annunzio, who, according to an urban legend, wanted to stay in the hotel during his time at Stabia when the legendary journalist Achille Gaeta ran it.
